Guys, I think Grizzly hid lore in Dark Puckered Hole.
NOW JUST- JUST HEAR ME OUT. (Mieru, look away).
I’m not just talking about the potential purity culture of the Undersea being exposed through Finn’s self exploration… I’m talking RAFT lore.
In Chapter 69, “Behind Bars,” of Dark Puckered Hole, Finn Tidestrider is imprisoned “somewhere in the eastern sea” with another triton, who is on the brink of death. They fall in love and bang before the anonymous convict passes in Finn’s arms, but that’s not what I’m focusing on. Im focusing on the presence of another triton, an injured one, in the Oversea, especially the Sakura Ocean.
Historically in Mana, Finn Tidestrider was one of, if not, THE FIRST to leave the Undersea behind. A decade or so-so later, in modern day Riptide, there have been practically no other triton. Gillion, who was banished, and Edyn, who left to find and avenge him, are the only ones. Even more so, the only other Undersea characters are found in the Undersea (Unnamed NPCs in The Tank OR Felipe, a grung, being from Liquidus) or having left it behind for personal reasons a la Edyn (Caspian, a water genasi). When the Tidestrider siblings go around Allport, they have to wear cloaks to avoid standing out. There aren’t even other triton in Liquidus!
So how, why, is there another triton in the oversea? Finn himself is shocked by his presence. “In this prison, to find another man from the Undersea… my mind raced with questions.” He doesn’t dwell on this weirdness because his questions are drowned out by the sound of his blood beneath his skin, rushing downward, BUT it’s very bizarre, no?
Another detail: Why was the other triton on the verge of death? Of course, inadequate care, but could he have been thrown back into the cell like that? Whoever imprisoned them did not care about their lives. They could live, or they could die.
To go further, isn’t it kind of weird how Finn Tidestrider doesn’t specify where his imprisonment is? He is a very detailed author. He could have said one of the villages in Onawa Country or anything else to feed more detail into his writing, but he didn’t. I feel like the reason he wouldn’t be specific is because he himself was unsure exactly of where he was. He was taken in secret, likely kept out of sight while being arrested and transported to his cell.
I also have to wonder… who imprisoned them? I think you know what I’m getting at. I think RAFT did. RAFT has the resources. RAFT has the political sway. RAFT has governmental power. And it’s worsened by the fact that this imprisonment occurred in the Eastern Sea, the site of the Promised Bastion, where triton are imprisoned, tortured, skinned, and experimented on…
Judging by the fact that Finn refers to the other triton’s you-know-what as “a lighthouse to guide this lost sailor home,” Finn was likely a part of the Black Rose Pirates at the time. He couldn’t hide his presence in the Oversea as a crewmate for a pirate lord, let alone Captain Rose. Finn was on wanted posters, Finn was in newspaper headlines, Finn was a published author. I think RAFT had its eyes on him, but when they arrested or kidnapped him, it wasn’t for crimes of piracy… at least not on the surface.
I think this experimentation on Undersea people and gods has been going on for a long time, and Dark Puckered Hole could be evidence of this fact. Finn was intended to be a source of skin, of blood, and of magic for RAFT’s experimentation in the artificial leviathan and black ops projects. His lover was too, maybe already was (I say maybe because Finn doesn’t allude to the idea that he was physically ripped apart… that would have been unignorable). Finn probably only made it out because he’s that strong (in episode 82, when Drey is talking to and comforting Jay, he said Finn was terrifying when angry or passionate) or his crew came to his rescue.
I think political and military purposes against the pirates weren’t the only reasons RAFT wanted to ally with the Undersea. “Joining forces” with them led either to less suspicion as they funneled triton out of the ocean and to the recently abandoned Promised Bastion, or coming to dominate them allowed RAFT to simply take triton without enough pushback. Either way, without their Champion to rise against them (the one triton on the hooks accused Gillion of abandoning them), they’ve been taken en masse. And maybe Edyn’s collaboration with the navy permitted her some of this knowledge, and that’s how she knew to hide Gillion from prying eyes in navy territory.
Uhhh tldr: It’s weird that there’s an injured triton in the Eastern Oversea. I think DPH could imply that Finn and his lover were imprisoned by RAFT as test subjects for the artificial leviathan and black ops projects, proving the longevity of Fay Ferin’s plans.

Oh my gosh I have so so many projects at all times (it’s the undiagnosed/unmedicated adhd sjsjdhshshsh) but the big one occupying a lot of my brain rn is an embroidery journal, where you do a piece of microembroidery once a day FOR A YEAR

Each one has a reason I picked it, and it’s all in the list I keep for reference. Originally I was thinking of making it a pillow when I was done, but I like the big hoop so much I might just mount it in one! I’d probably upgrade to a 14.5” or 15” hoop tho, give the borders a little more room to breathe.

Fun Facts About Brahm

Brahm got his nickname from Jordan. The nickname was given after he realized that the Nightcaller was laying all docile, just casually swaying to the sound of Johannes Brahm’s “Lullaby” piece.
The Nightcaller’s behavior depends on whether or not he is wearing the skull mask. When it’s on, he becomes animalistic and opportunistic, surviving off of instinct and a drive to hunt and kill. When the mask is off, he becomes his “true” self. A lot more reclusive but a lot more intelligent, aware, and capable of communicating. He’d like to keep the mask off, but the curse prevents it, and he can only control his animalistic side so much.
When the Nightcaller is on a hunt, nothing distracts it until the hunt is over. This ends usually when the prey dies- or on the rare occasion that they escape.
The Nightcaller can feel and taste through the skull when the mask is on. If he catches the taste of blood, he’ll go into a frenzy where he will stop at nothing until his prey is dead and devoured. After it’s over, he’ll feel terrible about his need to deceive and devour people.
The Nightcaller can form bonds and attachments but it’s very rare. As a a being that exists mostly off the instinct, developing a relationship with him can be like trying to befriend a dangerous wolf predator. With enough time and patience, it can be done, sure. But there’s always a big risk that comes with it.
Those that do get close to Brahm might earn the privilege of getting to see the face under the mask. He’s generally very sensitive about revealing his true face, as it’s the only real vulnerable part of his body.
Like most antlered creature, Brahm’s antlers eventually drop. And every years, they grow back larger.
Brahm likes the color yellow a lot. He adores how beautiful it looks and he likes to collect yellow things because they make him happy.
Brahm enjoys naps. Especially in brightly lit and quiet places like meadows. His favorite place to be is a flower field just beyond the border of the forest he calls home.
Brahm has never run into another Nightcaller. He’s pretty certain that he’s the only one.
Aside from meat, Brahm has a strange affinity for the taste of human garbage. Sweets and salty snacks have his interest and, on rare occasion, he will crawl between buildings in the city at night rooting through people’s trash for junk food.
Brahm’s preferred meat is human. But if humans are not available, he enjoys livestock and seafood. Lambs, pigs, goats, sheeps, cows, and chickens are his favorite prey when humans are in short supply. He never eats dogs, cats, or other cervidae (deer) unless he is truly desperate and in a frenzy. Seafood is a rare treat he enjoys - fish, shrimp, clams, scallops, and shark are all high on his list.
Brahm enjoys collecting shiny trinkets, listening to music out of the stereos of cars he causes to crash, drawing with his claws, and belly rubs.
Beneath the mask, Brahm tends to be a lot more honest and kind. He’s very gentle, very reclusive, kind of awkward, but has a good heart. He just doesn’t realize his own strength (or size) at times.

I'm not the best at asking things but how come we can be so passionate to bands or people we have never met (mostly MFS) can you try to give me a little bit of an explanation please

Sorry for taking so long to reply. I was on holiday and had been taking a break from Tumblr that whole time. Sorry again.
Hmm …. I would say that us passionately liking people beyond our reach such as celebrities, is all down to science. It’s human psychology.
1. You program your own brain
Don’t quote me on this but I read somewhere that if a person occupies 45% of your mind/time per day, you will develop a tendency to fall in love with that person 😍. Something like that 😁. You’ll need to read proper psychology books to understand this though. So, imagine the effect it has on our brains when we listen to a band everyday and watch their MVs or looking at their photos on a daily basis 🤔.
I don’t have band photos as my phone wallpaper or lock screen BUT I am sure the majority of my readers do. With our phones being the centre of our daily lives nowadays, imagine how many times that you look at those images of those band members every day!
2. Sensory pleasure
Humans are naturally stimulated by what is deemed pleasing by our senses. What we see, hear, touch, taste. With musicians, we get turned on by their music and when they also have the looks that we aesthetically find pleasing, the attraction gets doubled. I won’t underestimate the power of a pretty face or a hot body on our attraction towards a person (*1). Then when these musicians also do or say things we are pleased by, that attraction is magnetized even stronger (*2).
*1. I fell head over heel over Teruki Nishizawa after going to my 1st MFS concert. It wasn’t even my intention to be near him BUT he was 90% of my view from my standing position that night. He was all I thought about 24/7 for the following 2 weeks or maybe a month. Amazing considering he was the MFS member who excited me the least in their 1.0 phase. Also, the fact that he had grown out of his rather annoying childish phase and blossomed into a man now is a big plus point to me 😊.

*2. SWANKY DANK’s Matsuo brothers are good-looking men. That’s an established fact for years but YUICHI Matsuo single-handedly stole my heart away from his brother KOJI simply for being super nice to me the night I went to SWANKY DANK’s show on my birthday in 2016. To these days, YUICHI remains the one I message to the most online and the one I think of first each time the band faces a hurdle in their path 😊.

3. Searching for that kindred spirit
It’s human nature to look for a companion with similar interest or someone who can emphatize with us. With musicians, fans often find that connection in the lyrics they write. For me personally, as I get older, lyrics interest me less and less as I see each person’s life as being unique to that person. Those lyrics are the artist’s own story. Not mine. Nobody else can write my life story. If you have a strong core within you, there would be no need for you to find solace in song lyrics.
4. Not having a fulfilling life of your own
We all have issues in our life and for a lot of us, music and fandoms are our escape. The more we immerse ourselves in the escapism, the more we feel that we can alleviate those issues, albeit temporarily. I see a lot of fans like this online. Behind a fan account, there is the possibility of a depressed person running it.
Some fans let the escapism take over their lives and end up not being able to separate fantasy from reality 😕
i. No, your ships aren’t real no matter how much you want that singer and guitarist to marry each other.
ii. No, combining two band members’ names together in every hashtag, GIF, artwork and multiple fan accounts don’t magically turn the real persons into a couple.
iii. No, you have no reason to be mad when other fans call you out for being “fake” ….. (*insert a rock star name here) … because you really ARE “faking” being someone else with that “roleplayer” account.
Work on your issues first, find your inner happiness and you’ll find that music or any form of art is nothing more than what it is. A piece of art that you appreciate but it’s not your life and death 😊.
Channel that passion towards supporting the artists
By that, I mean buy their music and official releases even little by little. That’s the biggest gift you can give to them and in the long run, yourself when 20 years down the road, you look back at your collection and see it as the treasure from your yesteryears 😉.

1. You’ll get a full-body workout
Maybe you think rowing = ripped arms. But according to the American Fitness Professionals Association, rowing is 65 to 75 percent legs and 25 to 35 percent upper bod.
It’ll shred your upper back, pecs, arms, abs, and obliques. It’ll also strengthen those quads, calves, and glutes.

Let’s break down the rowing flow
Say it with me: Legs, core, arms. Arms, core, legs.
Here’s your step-by-step primer to using a rowing machine:
Lock in. Strap your feet into the pads. Make sure they don’t slide around.
Grab hold. Next, bring your knees up and reach for the front handlebar, aka the “catch.” Your torso should tilt slightly forward, but your spine should be straight.
Activate the leg sequence. Use your leg muscles to push off the footplate. Really power-up those hamstrings.
Engage your core. Squeeze your abs and lean backward. Just as you’re about to hit a 45-degree angle, pull the handlebar toward your bod and lightly touch your chest with it.
Work your shoulders. You’ve reached what’s called the “finish.” For the big finale, pull your shoulder blades together.
Flip it and reverse it. Now reverse the movement back to the catch. Extend your arms, pull your torso forward, bend your knees, and bring your legs up top. One stroke down! 👏

Avoid injury and discomfort by focusing on perfect pacing and posture at the beginning of your #RowLyfe adventure.
Push, don’t pull
“Imagine the movement as a push, rather than trying to pull the handle,” says Farmer.
He explains that your rowing stroke should break down to about 60 percent leg work, 40 percent upper body. “If you’re thinking about pushing, odds are you’re going to use that larger muscle driving group, which is going to create a more effective stroke,” he adds.
Slow down
First form, then speed. Farmer encourages thinking about the rowing movements parts and concentrating on good form throughout.
“Slowing it down gives your brain time to process that and think through each,” he says. “Sequencing is really important to getting the entirety of the stroke right.”

“You never want to jump into a workout cold,” says Farmer.
Try some light moves that wake your muscles without making your heart race:

Set up
Now, get your erg ready.

Finally, change “Split length: to 1-minute intervals.
Let’s do this thing
Think of this workout as a ladder. You’ll work your way up to 25 strokes per minute, stay there for 2 minutes, then climb back down.
